Judge Curtis Benjamin Daughters Room
“There are some whose lives are shaped by circumstances and others who overcome circumstances and shape their own lives. To this latter class it may be safely said that Curtis Benjamin Daughters belongs. Tens of thousands, born as he was, in obscurity and modest circumstances, have never emerged from them. From his parents, however, he inherited the best of legacies: health, industry and integrity. These united to thrift, temperance and shrewd intelligence, formed the foundation upon which to build his success, making him one of the leaders of the bar of Riley County and a man of the highest standing in his home community of Manhattan.”
Kansas and Kansans, 1928.
